2018年10月19日,乌干达财政部长马蒂亚·卡萨伊贾先生参观访问辽沈工业园,陪同马蒂亚部长到访的还有税务专员摩西·奥格瓦普斯先生。辽沈工业园董事长张皓、禾木缘食品有限公司董事长关兴杰、旺康陶瓷乌干达公司总经理刘中和、厂长高朝保热情接待并陪同参观。
乌干达财政部长马蒂亚·卡萨伊贾先生公务繁忙,但一直心系卡佩卡,马蒂亚部长刚刚到达工业园,就首先参观了各工厂的生产及建设情况,对于工业园的招商项目,马蒂亚部长给予了充分肯定,这些项目的建立,完成了进口替代并增加了乌干达的外汇收入,充分利用本地原材料的同时,解决了大量就业,提高了乌干达民众的生活水平。
马蒂亚部长来到禾木缘食品有限公司,并品尝了刚刚生产的芒果干产品,他对禾木缘食品公司的工艺赞不绝口,希望禾木缘能充分利用乌干达丰富的农产品资源,生产出更多美味的食品。在禾木缘即将新上市的产品包装上,马蒂亚部长留下签名作为纪念。
马蒂亚部长随后来到旺康陶瓷乌干达有限公司,部长参观了旺康瓷砖从生产原材料到最后生产出成品的整个生产过程,倾听每个细节的介绍并不时询问。来到瓷砖的产品展厅,马蒂亚部长看到了印有各式各样花纹的瓷砖非常高兴,他看到每个瓷砖的后面都印有“Made in Uganda(乌干达制造)”更是欣喜不已。
最后,马蒂亚部长与工业园各企业在旺康陶瓷会议室举行会谈,马蒂亚部长表示,将继续支持辽沈工业园的长久发展,保证辽沈工业园优惠的免税政策不变,并提高相应的进口商品关税以保护当地制造商免受进口产品的替代。马蒂亚部长指出,财政部正在协调各机构和职能部门,以确保他们降低园区的水、电费用,同时确保电力和水的可靠供应。
马蒂亚部长当天也参观了正在建设的龙凤电缆厂、义乌纺织厂、加加食品厂、无锡太宇渔网鱼线厂等厂区工地。张皓董事长同时介绍了各厂区的建设进度和预计开工时间。
Hon. Matia kasaija ,Minister for Finance, Planning & Economic Development visits Liao ShenIndustrial Park
On Friday 19th October 2018, Hon Matia together with the Ag. Commissioner Tax Policy, Mr. Moses Ogwapus visited Liao Shen Industrial Park.
At the park, Hon. Matia was received by Mr. Zhang Hao, the managing director of Liao shen Industrial park first at HO & Mu Food Technology factory where he was shown PPT since the factory was closed for maintenance in preparation for the upcoming season.
From there, Mr. Zhang toured him around the park showing Hon. Matia a portfolio of factories that’s Jindi Agricultural technological Co. Ltd, Gaga foods, Lurtex – a garment making factory that are undergoing construction and ended up with Goodwill Ceramics Co. Ltd a tiles making factory.
As a way of supporting industrialization, Hon. Matia vowed to continue protecting local manufacturers from import substitution that has undeniable benefits in saving foreign exchange.
Hon. Matia noted that Finance Ministry is working along with other MDAs to see that they reduce the tariffs on water and power and also ensure a reliable supply of both power and water and accessible road to support industries grow and contribute towards the economic development of the country through producing affordable products and creating more jobs for Ugandans.
